Happening Now

We’ve completed the first semester of our intergenerational farming project at Oasis by Hoopes.

Our sessions with the 6th-8th grade Redwood Boys & Girls Club members were extremely well received by both the youth and the Elders. We are excited to return in September with the 3rd-5th grade Boys & Girls Club kids from Willow School. This was made possible through a grant from the Town of Yountville Community Foundation.

We are still recruiting elders from Yountville to participate, and add to the crew we've already enlisted. Screening through the Boys & Girls Club's live scan/veriscan system is a necessary pre-requisite.

This Hoopes Farming project is sponsored by a grant in partnership with the Napa Boys & Girls club and OASIS by Hoopes with Lindsay Hoopes. Through the involvement of these partners we have found our community and we are so grateful for their commitment.

For our second 2028 Grant Application we hope to expand this program.

We see opportunity to add sessions during the Yountville Parks and Recreation Summer Program. Different locations and activities are in the early stages of planning. Adding more Blue Zone components seems like a natural addition to this community wide project.
